Paris Arrival & Ghosts of the City of Light
Welcome to Paris! After you take some rest (or free time), we will gather in the “City of Lights” when they dim.
Beneath the romance of Paris lies a city shaped by fire, plague, and revolution. The cobbled lanes of the Latin Quarter whisper with the steps of scholars, soldiers, and spirits who never left. On Île de la Cité, the air grows heavier where the gallows once stood, and some say the shadow of a hooded figure can still be seen by the riverbank. Walk where medieval murders, tragic love, and forgotten souls have left their mark — and perhaps catch a glimpse of those who remain, just beyond the lamplight.
Tonight, you will gather and celebrate the beginning of our adventure with a Welcome Dinner that will hold the cultural culinary delights that Paris is known for.

DAY 2: June 25th, 2026

Beneath the Stones: Paris Paranormal
Twenty meters below the bustling boulevards lies a silent empire of bones — the Catacombs of Paris. Six million Parisians rest here, stacked in macabre walls that have watched centuries pass. Above, cemeteries hold poets, painters, and rebels whose stories are etched in stone.
Yet not all rest easy. Visitors have felt a sudden chill, heard whispered names, and caught the faint strains of music where none is played.
Tonight, you step into this city’s most storied shadows for a private paranormal investigation — whether in the hallowed avenues of Père Lachaise, the quiet crypts of Montmartre, or the haunted halls of the Conciergerie. What will follow you back to the ship is yours alone to know.

DAY 3: June 26th, 2026

Paris Farewell, Rhône Welcome
Lyon awaits, but Paris gives you one last glance over her shoulder — a city that knows how to keep her secrets.
Together, we will board the famed Parisian Speed Train and travel to Lyon. By choosing this mode of transportation, we indulge in the adventure that only the rails can take us through. Besides that, it saves us a couple of hours as opposed to the traditional coach service!
Early afternoon, we arrive in Lyon, a small thriving city in Southern France. It’s hidden corridors called traboules twist between buildings, once sheltering silk merchants and wartime resistors. Many say they shelter other things as well — the unseen, the unrecorded, the uninvited. Tonight is for calm waters and quiet curiosity… tomorrow, the whispers will return.
By evening, the mood shifts as you step aboard your floating home on the Rhône and board the MS Van Gogh. Be welcomed aboard YOUR ship by the Captain and his staff, exclusively prepared to meet the needs of our very special travelers!
“Cruise Only.” Packages will meet us in Lyon.

DAY 4: June 27th, 2026

Lyon’s Hidden Passages & Mâcon’s Midnight Whispers
Lyon’s traboules conceal centuries of commerce, conspiracies, and curious disappearances.
As the ship glides to Mâcon, the sun dips behind the Saône, and the streets fall into shadow. Beneath the timbered façades and wine-laden cellars, stone walls have absorbed centuries of voices. Some speak of a monk still pacing the crypts of the Abbaye Saint-Philibert; others of cellar doors that refuse to stay shut.
Tonight, in the glow of lantern light, you will cross that threshold and see what stories the stones are willing to tell.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 5: June 28th, 2026

The Sacred Stones of Cluny
The Abbey of Cluny was once the beating heart of medieval Christendom — a seat of power that shaped kings, popes, and wars.
Though reduced by time and revolution, its surviving walls echo with plainchant and prayer. Visitors have reported the scent of incense in empty chapels or the rustle of robes behind cloister columns. Whether relic of faith or echo of something older, Cluny’s stones hold their silence until they choose otherwise.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 6: June 29th, 2026

Vienne’s Roman Ghosts
Vienne was a jewel of the Roman Empire, where gladiators fought, and emperors walked.
The grand theatre still stands, its stage long since fallen silent — though locals swear they’ve heard phantom applause under the moonlight. In the Cathedral of St. Maurice, candle flames waver in still air, and some say the figure of a veiled woman drifts between the pews.
As the Rhône carries you southward, you may wonder which spirits still walk its ancient banks.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 7: June 30th, 2026

Papal Intrigue & Arles After Dark
Avignon’s Papal Palace was a fortress of faith and ambition, where whispers of poison, heresy, and dark alliances echoed through its halls.
In Arles, the past grows heavier — the Alyscamps Necropolis stretches into the distance, lined with stone sarcophagi carved for Roman nobility. Painters came here for beauty, mourners for closure. Yet under the cover of night, the air changes. Footsteps crunch where no living soul walks. Tonight, you will be there to find out who — or what — still guards the city of the dead.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 8: July 1st, 2026

Provençal Charms
Viviers is a town of crooked lanes and weathered shutters, a place where the medieval and the modern have learned to coexist.
From the shadow of its cathedral to the echo of footsteps in empty alleyways, the town wears its age proudly. Legends tell of a knight whose oath to protect Viviers outlived his mortal life — and of a healer whose cures came with a cost.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 9: July 2nd, 2026

Tournon’s Castle Keep
Perched above the Rhône, Tournon’s castle has watched over the town since the Middle Ages.
It has seen sieges, betrayals, and blood feuds — and some say the echoes of those nights remain. Guests have claimed to hear the clatter of unseen armor, or to feel a cold hand upon the stairwell bannister.
Tonight, you’ll raise a glass in the great hall, honoring both the living and the long-gone.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions
DAY 10: July 3rd, 2026

Farewell to the Rhône
As Lyon’s skyline comes into view, your journey’s final chapter begins.
You’ve walked in the footsteps of saints and sinners, explored the grand and the grim, and sought the unseen in France’s most storied places. Whether you leave with photos, journal notes, or something less tangible, the Rhône has a way of following those who travel her waters.
