Day By Day Itinerary

Follow the unfolding story of Mythic Scotland, where each day moves through ancient cities, sacred landscapes, and living legends that blur the line between history and the unseen.

DAY 1: June 28, 2027

1

Arrival in the Old World- Edinburgh’s Living Memory

Your journey begins in Edinburgh, a city where medieval stone and myth are inseparable. The Royal Mile is not simply historic — it is layered with centuries of lived experience, whispered folklore, and traditions that refuse to fade.

As we walk through the Old Town, stories of guardian entities, phantom animals, and residual energies are introduced not as spectacle, but as part of Scotland’s cultural inheritance. This is your orientation not just to a place, but to a perspective — one that recognizes that landscapes remember.

That evening, we gather for a welcome dinner. Here, Ken introduces Scotland’s cryptid frameworks and historical case traditions, while Lady Ann opens the journey with intentional grounding. The circle forms. The threshold is crossed.

DAY 2: June 29, 2027

2

Geomantic Intersections & River Realms

Today is about attunement.

At Rosslyn Castle, where woodland ravines meet storied stone, we explore one of Scotland’s most symbolically charged sites. The land itself feels intentional — long associated with geomantic intersections and sacred alignment. As you walk the grounds and decode symbols woven into architecture and myth, perception begins to shift.

Later, along the Water of Leith, the river corridor becomes a quiet teacher. Water has long been understood in Scottish folklore as a boundary realm — a place where worlds meet. Here, environmental awareness deepens through guided observation and reflective practice.

By evening, the journey has moved from hearing stories to sensing the landscape.

DAY 3: June 20, 2027

3

Initiation North- Castles, Den Sites & Hidden Lineage

Traveling northward, the terrain begins to open — and so do the legends.

At Dunino Den, traditions of fae encounters, druidic ritual, and woodland lore converge in a steeped, intimate environment. The land feels enclosed, almost secretive — an ideal place to explore Scotland’s longstanding relationship with the unseen.

Glamis Castle presents a different dimension of myth: aristocratic lineage intertwined with entity traditions and cryptid lore. Stories of sealed chambers and hidden beings reflect how folklore embeds itself into power structures and legacy.

This day explores how myth lives within walls — and within bloodlines.

DAY 4: July 1, 2027

4

The Big Grey Man & The Weight of History

The Cairngorms rise with quiet authority.

At Ben Macdui, mountaineer testimonies of Am Fear Liath Mòr — the Big Grey Man (Scotland’s Abominable Snowman) — are examined with both curiosity and grounded analysis. Is it an environmental phenomenon? Psychological projection? Something else entirely? The mountain does not rush to answer.

Later, Culloden Moor shifts the tone. This battlefield landscape carries historical gravity and emotional charge. Here, reverence guides the experience. Folklore and history intersect, reminding us that memory is not always linear — it lingers in land.

Today invites courage — the courage to stand within mystery without forcing resolution.

DAY 5: July 2, 2027

5

Loch Ness- Water, Witness & Inquiry

Loch Ness has become iconic. Yet when you stand before it, its scale quiets you.

This is not a headline stop. It is a full immersion into the historical, scientific, and folkloric traditions surrounding Scotland’s most enduring aquatic legend. From early saintly accounts to modern sightings, the story of Nessie is layered and surprisingly nuanced.

A private boat expedition brings you onto the loch itself. Shoreline observation and guided discussion explore not just what has been seen — but why such stories endure.

As evening falls, reflection near the water allows integration. Loch Ness becomes less about proving and more about perceiving.

DAY 6: July 3, 2027

6

Northern Thresholds- Sea Lore & Shapeshifters

North of Inverness, Scotland’s coastal folklore expands into selkie traditions, sea-maiden tales, and the shape-shifting water horse — the kelpie.

At Balintore and Dunrobin Castle, we explore how coastal communities interpret the meeting of land and sea. Castles here carry their own layered traditions of presence and history, rooted in Highland storytelling.

Water, again, becomes the teacher. The boundary becomes the theme. The north reminds us that transformation often happens at the edge.

DAY 7: July 4, 2027

7

Isle of Skye- Entering the Fae Realm

The Isle of Skye feels mythic before you ever hear a story.

At Sligachan Old Bridge, where tradition speaks of fairy enchantment and hidden realms, we explore Scotland’s enduring fae culture — not as fantasy, but as folklore deeply woven into Highland identity.

Portree’s harbor, Skye’s dramatic cliffs, and the surreal landscape of the Fairy Glen evoke a sense of crossing into something older than language. Shape-shifter traditions, selkie lore, and fairy hill narratives become contextualized within landscape and oral tradition.

Skye does not demand belief. It invites imagination rooted in heritage.

DAY 8: July 5, 2027

8

Glencoe & The Secret Commonwealth

Glencoe’s dramatic valley is both beautiful and tragic — a place where dragon lore, fae traditions, and the 1692 massacre intertwine within collective memory.

In Aberfoyle, we encounter the story of Reverend Robert Kirk and The Secret Commonwealth of Elves, Fauns, and Fairies. His writings remain foundational to Scottish fairy tradition, and the legend of his disappearance continues to intrigue scholars and storytellers alike.

Today, bridges folklore and theology, myth and manuscript. It reminds us that the unseen has long been studied, debated, and revered.

DAY 9: July 6, 2027

9

Reflection, Celebration & Return

Your final day in Edinburgh offers space to wander, journal, revisit a favorite close or café, and feel the subtle shifts within.

That evening, we gather for a celebratory dinner. Not simply to conclude, but to honor the journey. Stories have been shared. Landscapes have been entered.

Questions may remain — and that is part of the gift.

Scotland rarely reveals everything at once.

It leaves you changed — and quietly invites you back.

DAY 10: July 7, 2027

10

Slàinte Mhath & Safe Passage Home

As your journey through Mythic Scotland draws to a close, you depart Edinburgh carrying more than photographs or stories.

You leave with the memory of wind across the Highlands. Of still water at Loch Ness. Of stone circles, fairy glens, and mountain paths that felt somehow familiar. You leave with conversations shared around tables and landscapes that quietly shifted something within you.

Scotland rarely reveals itself all at once. It lingers. It echoes. It stays.

As you make your way to Edinburgh Airport, you carry with you the legends of the fae, the mysteries of the lochs, and the quiet knowing that myth is not something separate from us — it is something we walk within.

With gratitude and perhaps a touch of reluctance, you bid farewell to this ancient land.

“Haste ye back.” Until Scotland calls you again.
