An Esoteric Journey Awaits!
In the heart of Ireland’s Midlands, Charleville Castle stands as a haunting relic of Gothic vision and whispered secrets. Rising in 1798 upon the ruins of an ancient manor, it was crafted over 14 years, each stone laid to the design of Charles William Bury, the Earl of Charleville, and his muse, Lady Catherine Maria Bury. Lady Catherine’s artistic hand wove mystique into the grand staircases, sprawling chambers, and shadowed passageways. Masonic symbols are etched into the architecture, hinting at hidden meanings and age-old rituals. Here, echoes of old voices linger in dimly lit halls, and the wind carries stories of an era when ambition, mystery, and whispered secrets defined this place. Charleville is no ordinary castle; it is where every stone seems to carry memories, waiting for those brave enough to listen

Messages from Beyond
I remember my time here, I was lucky enough to visit this gorgeous gothic masterpiece. The staircase greets you at the entrance. This would be a unique location to experiment with a brand new “tool” that I had added to my research kit-Scrabble tiles. It would be another beautiful wood staircase that would draw me to it. The energy here was strong, so I knelt, grabbed out my tiles, and laid what few fell out onto the velvet mat that I had brought along to lay them upon.
Our enchanting host at Charleville Samantha Kelly was with us as we put the tiles together to form what words were to be revealed. These words would be “bonnet” “Harriet” and “Pony” It was then that we learned of the tragic tale of Harriet, a young girl who had lost her life by falling over the railing from high above near the top of the staircase. Samantha would also share that there was a photo of Harriet that was not on display that had her dressed in a bonnet, so there was no doubt in her mind that Harriet was doing her best to let us all know, she was still there. A true gift on this esoteric journey.

The Angry Earls
At the bottom of these stairs, would not be the only location that we would make contact with those who once called this place home. For it was in one of the towers that held the library that we would make contact with some very angry earls. As we began to arrange the tiles, so that we could read their messages it became clear that not only did these men have a high distaste for women, but they did not want any of us there at all. Perhaps they were trying to hide the secrets of the castle’s construction and or purpose.
This would add great intrigue for me, as our host of this tour Mike Ricksecker was doing experiments of his own. In both towers, he had his dowsing rods along with Samantha who had a pendulum. The pendulum would spin clockwise in one tower and counterclockwise in the other. I highly recommend picking up Mike Ricksecker’s new book to learn more “Portals to the Stars”. Mysterious Adventures Tours even has an upcoming trip to Germany where you can meet Mike himself and who knows, perhaps you may just stumble across a portal during your esoteric journey in the black forest.
