Celtic Alchemy: Transformative Journeys in Ireland

In the hushed whispers of ancient winds and the ageless rustle of leaves, there exists a tale untold.

Picture, if you will, a realm where emerald landscapes hold secrets as old as time itself, where the very stones sing in harmony with tales lost to the ages.

Beyond the mundane boundaries of maps and mere geography, is a compelling invitation — an ancestral call for seekers to traverse the realms of this storied isle. For in the act of venturing into the heart of Ireland, one steps not only onto ancient soil but into a living saga that has shaped destinies and whispered the language of transformation across the epochs.

Ireland, with its rolling green hills and ancient stone circles, has an uncanny ability to evoke a sense of awe and wonder. The deep-rooted traditions and folklore seep into your being, stirring a connection to the otherworldly that resonates with those who are spiritually attuned.

The Irish people themselves, with their warmth and hospitality, can leave an indelible mark on your heart. It’s as if the very air is charged with a magical energy that beckons you to delve into the mysteries that lie beneath the surface.

In this land of myths and legends, where the veil between worlds seems thin, a visit to Ireland can be a transformative journey, leaving you with a heightened sense of connection to the spiritual and a renewed perspective on the mysteries of life.

The following is a story from one of our mysterious travelers whose life was touched and changed forever during their time with us on the Isle.

The Hill

When first receiving the itinerary for our trip to Ireland, back in 2022, it was Drombeg Stone Circle that stood out to me. There was a calling, something inside me knew I needed to be there, that something significant would happen once I arrived.

I will never forget landing in Ireland, there was magic in the air. Every day I was in awe that I had made it, that I was there but every fiber of my being anticipated the day we were to go to Drombeg, and finally the morning came.
I remember getting on the bus that morning, and the entire way there my emotions were so high that it was honestly hard not to cry. I also felt as if I was in a trance and like no one was around me. Then, the bus stopped, and it was all I could do, to fight the tears.

I approach the steps of the bus, eager with anticipation, stepping down I look at the trail ahead. An overwhelming sense of Deja Vu came over me. I knew this place. Something within me stirred, I knew with every fiber of my being that I had truly walked this path before but not just once, it was over many lifetimes.

I touched the stone wall as I walked, and with every breath and footfall a reminder- I was home.

Through a little gate at the end of the path, I reached the actual property. It was here that I couldn’t hold back anymore. Not only did the entire island of Ireland feel like home, but this circle felt like so much more than that. I had fallen in love here, I had performed rituals and ceremonies here and had been part of them.

I had seen families and children running around playing with sticks as swords. I saw a group of men that were brothers in blood or best friends. A group of men in a circle with two men in the middle wrestling around trying to win. I saw a group of young women or teenagers, in white linen robes and dresses with flower crowns, sitting in a circle talking amongst each other, some of them watching the men wrestle and laughing. I saw older women and grandmothers and possibly great-grandmothers, preparing food in the kitchen area. I saw an older woman skinning a rabbit.

I had done research before coming here and one of the stories that I read was of a psychic who had seen negative spirits here and child sacrifice rituals. Though I don’t discredit her, I did not feel that at all now that’s not to say that it didn’t happen but the lifetime I was feeling, was nothing but love and family, love of nature, and love for their gods.

The tears just kept flowing. I tried to stay by myself as much as I could because I was embarrassed but I could not stop them. Everywhere that I sat, everywhere that I walked, every spot that my Barefoot touched I knew that I had done it before.

I hardly noticed the people around me. I went and sat in a secluded spot facing the sea. And there was a hill to the right of me. As you know Ireland doesn’t have fences or gates to separate properties, only shrubbery. There was a hill on the right that kept calling to me, which is why I chose this specific spot to sit down. I couldn’t stop glancing over at the hill, and the feeling that something was buried there that had to do with me only kept getting stronger. And the more that I felt this the harder I cried.

I had left some important things at this circle so I would forever feel a tie there and a connection. But whatever was buried on this hill that kept calling to me, was something much stronger.

So after the group had dispersed for the most part from the circle stones, I finally made my way over there. I touched every single stone, knowing and intuitively feeling that I had touched them many times before. I made my way to the middle, took my shoes off, and stood silently. The feeling is Indescribable and I’m tearing up right now as I’m telling this story to you.

I felt my ancestors, I felt my past life, I felt everything. Down to the last detail of what I had looked like. I saw myself with long wavy curly Auburn colored hair. Much like my natural hair color in this life. And I was wearing a purple robe. Barefoot, standing in the middle greeting the sunrise.

With my eyes closed, I can still see it to this day. The smell of fresh grass and early morning fog is a smell that you never forget. And it’s surrounded me.

It was then that Maria came over and pulled out her Spirit Box out. Unsure of how I felt about some of these devices, I was open and curious about what might come through.

She hugged me and it made me cry even harder. So when I was ready she asked my permission which I gave for communication from the other side. Maria turns on the device and immediately we start hearing voices saying words and sentences that are not English, possibly Gaelic or some other ancient tongue.

She asks, “Are there any Spirits here with us?” Almost simultaneously a male and female voice say yes. We waited for a few moments and heard the words “drew it.” Maria then asks if there are any negative spirits here, and I faintly heard a yes but I also heard a no, and some ancient tongue speaking or saying something I didn’t understand

I asked the spirit box, “Do you remember me?” The same male and female voices again almost simultaneously said “Yes.” So then I asked the spirits, “Who are you?” And that same male voice very clearly and distinctly said, Father. At this point, the tears started again. I wasn’t sad, but the feeling of being home and having a familiar spirit with me was overwhelming.

We waited a few more moments, and as we waited my burning question stirred. The same unknown language began coming through and it was then I asked, “What is buried on the hill?”

The hill that kept drawing me in where I felt like there was something of mine or something for me there. After about 5 Seconds that same male voice very clearly and loudly, said “You.”

I fell apart, the tears flowed and I had to be alone. I thanked Maria and then went and sat somewhere where I could process all that had happened. As I sat there, trying to process everything I was feeling seeing, and hearing, in one instance everything all came together. To say it was overwhelming was an understatement. And I still cannot tell that story without crying. It changed my life and is something that I will never forget.

Another experience shared with us from a traveler’s time on our first Ireland Tour takes us into an ancient past. This traveler decided to book two extra nights in Ireland after our tour concluded and it was a trip to New Grange that would awaken something within and help change the course of a life’s purpose.

I will never forget waiting for our car to drive us to Newgrange. Our driver, like many of the drivers we had encountered, was so incredible. I felt as if I was in the land of stories and family. When we arrived I had no idea what to expect. You see, as much as I love research there are some things I want to experience without any prior knowledge.

It was strange to be in a random group of tourists after spending so long with our group that we originally came here with. We had become family and experienced so many incredible things together, and now we were with strangers. Our group was broken into two smaller groups as well, as the internal chamber and passage could not accommodate us all.

I was part of the first group. Let me tell you, that the moment you step inside and down the path, you feel as if you have left behind everything you have ever known. You turn sideways, you duck down, your eyes take in the stone that surrounds you, and your body feels an immediate temperature change. Then, you get to the chamber.

Into a circle we stood, the chamber lit by lights they had installed. The guide pointed out all the different carvings. It is hard to describe what I felt as I stood there. This place, this ancient place was constructed in 3,200 B.C., unchanged. It felt as if I was transported back in time, given a rare glimpse and gift into human life five thousand years ago and yet, it felt so familiar to me.

I knew that I had lived back then, although I do not recall that life but it was more than that. It was almost like tapping into the collective unconscious. One of the precious moments that we had in there, is some signs say no photography is allowed, nor is touching allowed. There was a man who was blind with us in our group. The guide took the man’s hand and allowed him to gently run his fingers across the carvings, so he too could experience and marvel at this place. It touched us all.

Then the guide began to talk about the winter solstice and how the little window above the entrance was known as a roof box. It was through this roof box each winter solstice that a ray of sun would beam through the path and light the chamber for a short time, we were then blessed with a simulation.

They turned off the lights, we were silent. We watched a golden ray slowly creep down the path, into the chamber until we were all illuminated, awe overcame us all. The light then began to fade, just as it does by the sun each year. When the regular lights came back on, there was not one dry eye in the chamber.

From this experience, I knew that there was something much deeper that we are all a part of but perhaps we have forgotten and it has sent me on that quest, to remember.

Ireland changes you; it’s more than a destination, it’s a profound transformation. In the tapestry of its past lives and the enchantment that envelops every corner, there’s a magic that seeps into your soul. The emerald landscapes and ancient tales become more than just scenery – they become threads in the fabric of your own story. A visit to this captivating land is not just a journey; it’s an immersion into a realm of change, where the whispers of its spirit linger long after you’ve left.
