The Haunted Places of Prague
1. Old Town Square & The Astronomical Clock
Prague’s Old Town Square is enchanting by day, but by night, its stones feel heavy with memory. Here, executioners once performed their grim work, and the city’s famous Astronomical Clock carries a curse said to doom anyone who harms the masterpiece or its maker.
Visitors still report ghostly figures wandering the square at dawn: a headless knight, a doomed nobleman, and the restless shadows of those who met their fate here.
You’ll walk these same stones on Day 2 of our tour…
2. Charles Bridge & Its Statues at Dawn
The Charles Bridge is beautiful, but breathtakingly eerie in the early morning mist. Beneath the Vltava River lie legends of drowned spirits, and atop the bridge stand statues said to grant wishes… or warnings.
The most famous ghost is Saint John of Nepomuk, thrown into the river after refusing to betray a secret. Locals say he still rises from the water on fog-heavy nights.
Our group crosses this bridge at sunrise, when Prague is quietest and the legends feel closest to the surface.
3. The Old Jewish Cemetery
A labyrinth of tilted tombstones rising in waves, the Old Jewish Cemetery is one of the most atmospheric sites in all of Prague.
Here rests Rabbi Loew, creator of the legendary Golem of Prague, the clay guardian said to protect the Jewish Quarter from danger. Some claim the Golem still sleeps in the attic of the Old New Synagogue.
If any place in Prague feels suspended between worlds, it is this one.
This stop is part of our guided Old Town immersion, where Grant and Reanna reveal the deeper energy of Prague’s oldest spiritual sites.
4. Houska Castle — The Gateway to Hell
Far outside Prague stands a fortress built not to keep invaders out… but to keep something in.
Houska Castle is said to cover a gaping chasm — a “hole to hell” that once spewed winged creatures and unnatural sounds. Prisoners were reportedly lowered into the pit, emerging days later either dead or raving.
This site is a centerpiece of legend, fear, and fascination.
On Day 6 of our itinerary, we step inside its chilling halls.

5. The Prague Catacombs & Old Town Underground
Beneath Prague lies an entire forgotten world: flooded tunnels, plague burials, abandoned vaults, and subterranean streets from a time before the city was raised for flood control.
Visitors speak of footsteps echoing in empty rooms, whispered voices, and cold drafts that come from nowhere.
What lurks beneath Prague may be more frightening — and more historic — than anything above it.
6. Kutná Hora & the Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church)
Only in the Czech Republic could beauty and death merge so elegantly.
The Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the Bone Church, is decorated with the skulls and bones of over 40,000 souls — arranged into chandeliers, pyramids, and coats of arms. It is eerie, sacred, and unforgettable.
This is where history becomes art… and art becomes a whisper from the past.
7. Loket Castle & Its Phantom Prisoners
Loket Castle is undeniably stunning, but its dungeons tell another story.
Here, prisoners once languished in shadowy cells, and the spirit of a merciless warden is said to patrol the halls still. Screams, footsteps, and cold spots are commonly reported.
This unforgettable location is a highlight of Day 7—an evening filled with history, atmosphere, and chilling encounters.
This foreboding fortress is included on Day 7 of our tour.
