Ireland: A Journey of Mysterious Adventures and Transformational Travel
Recently, we at Mysterious Adventures Tours had the privilege of hearing firsthand from one of our travelers about their journey to Ireland on one of our tours. A Love for the Paranormal

Ireland has always been on my bucket list of places to visit. Half because I am of Irish descent (my last name is a huge giveaway for those who know it), and half because I have always found the country so beautiful. In October 2024, I finally got to experience this transformational travel opportunity.
For those of you who do not know, I am into the spooky. I was a scaredy cat when I was a child, but at some point, the eerie and paranormal became my thing. I would watch shows about haunted houses and mysterious adventures, dreaming of visiting such places myself. When Ghost Hunters premiered on SyFy, it became a household staple. I even used it as a reference for a 15-minute oral presentation in school, where I chose to speak about the paranormal.
Discovering Mysterious Adventures

By midsummer 2023, I had already completed two paranormal-themed vacations and was searching for my next big adventure. That’s when my friend and I started noticing ads for a tour company called Mysterious Adventures on social media. They offered vacation packages themed around spiritual and paranormal exploration, led by celebrities in the field. These packages promised not just travel but transformational travel experiences.
We delved into their offerings and were immediately drawn to their Halloween in Ireland 2024 trip. Although the celebrity host had not yet been announced, we kept tabs on the itinerary. When Grant Wilson from Ghost Hunters and his wife, Reanna, were confirmed as hosts, I knew I had to go. I had briefly met them before at the Spaulding Inn in New Hampshire and was thrilled to have the chance to reconnect.

Preparing for the Journey

About two months before the trip, Maria, the owner of Mysterious Adventures, scheduled four Zoom meetings to help us prepare. These sessions were an incredible touch, allowing us to meet fellow travelers and learn what to pack and expect. Recordings were even provided for those unable to attend live. Having been on several group tours before, this level of preparation was a first for me and added to the excitement of the transformational travel experience.
The Adventure Begins

Finally, the big day arrived! I boarded my Icelandair flight, promptly fell asleep, and woke up at my layover in Iceland. After a short wait, my friends and I were on our way to Dublin. Upon arrival, Mysterious Adventures provided seamless airport transport courtesy of our incredible guide, Brendan O’Connor. Brendan’s dedication stood out as he made six trips to ensure everyone was picked up, even accommodating those arriving at different terminals.
Our first evening kicked off with a group dinner, where Grant and Reanna introduced themselves. They were just as kind as I remembered, gifting us handmade welcome items like keychain charms and stickers. To cap off the night, we enjoyed a ghost tour of Dublin led by Sean and Matt, our hilarious and engaging guides.

Each morning, we received a printed and digital itinerary outlining the day’s schedule and the historical significance of the sites we would visit. This thoughtful approach enhanced the entire experience, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Ireland.
