Arrive in Geneva, the shimmering lakeside city where Mary Shelley conceived Frankenstein. Check into a historic boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Geneva's medieval Old Town. The cobbled streets and ancient buildings whisper with centuries of history.
Explore at your leisure before gathering for a welcome dinner where you’ll hear the tale of the “Year Without a Summer,” when relentless storms trapped Shelley and her companions indoors at Villa Diodati. It was here, under the flicker of candlelight, that Frankenstein was born. As the twilight deepens, feel the atmospheric pull of this city where history and literary legend converge.
Geneva’s Old Town is a testament to the passage of time, its ancient stones imbued with stories of inspiration, mystery, and enduring creativity.  Here we will have our Welcome Dinner!

Begin your day with a visit to the legendary Villa Diodati, perched above Lake Geneva. Though privately owned, the villa exudes an aura of mystery as you imagine Shelley penning her Gothic masterpiece within its walls.
We will take some time to stroll along the lake’s shimmering shores before heading into Geneva’s Old Town to uncover its haunted and historical treasures.
Do you dare descend with us into the crypts of St. Peter’s Cathedral, where echoes of the city’s medieval past resonate? Marvel at the Reformation Wall, a testament to Geneva’s influential role in European history.

Set out on a scenic journey from Geneva to Strasbourg, stopping first at the iconic Château de Chillon, a lakeside fortress steeped in Gothic allure. Tour its dungeons, where prisoners once languished, and climb its towers for breathtaking views of Lake Geneva.
Continue to Freiburg im Breisgau, a town on the edge of the Black Forest. Here, visit the Freiburg Minster, a Gothic cathedral famed for its haunting beauty and intricate stained glass. Stroll through Freiburg’s medieval Old Town, where legends of forest spirits and witches abound.

This is your day to take in a most incredible city!  Freely explore the Römer square, its timber-framed houses exuding old-world charm, and visit St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece that has stood through centuries of change. Stroll along the Museumsufer (Museum Embankment) or shop at bustling local markets.
