About This Trip

Join psychic medium Sarah Lemos on an unforgettable journey through Scotland’s dark past with our Witches & Phantoms of Scotland Tour.

Over 9 chilling days, we’ll delve into the eerie era known as Scotland’s “Burning Times,” spanning from 1563 to 1763, when the country was gripped by supernatural paranoia. The Witchcraft Act of 1563 transformed Scotland into a breeding ground for fear, making witchcraft a capital offense and igniting a wave of devastating Witch Trials. Across the nation, towns were plunged into chaos as accusations flew and lives were shattered in a frenzy of human tragedy. During this harrowing period, an estimated 4,000 to 6,000 people faced prosecution for witchcraft, with a staggering 1,500 individuals meeting their fate at the executioner’s hand. Shockingly, approximately 75% of those accused were women, victims of a society consumed by fear and superstition.

Join us as we journey through the haunted streets of Edinburgh, the chilling landscapes of Aberdeen, the mysterious shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands, and the historic battlegrounds of Stirling. These cities bear witness to some of the most significant chapters of Scotland’s Witchcraft tragedies, each one steeped in tales of magic, mystery, and unspeakable horror.

Prepare to be captivated by the dark allure of Scotland’s history as we uncover the secrets of its witch-haunted past. With psychic medium Sarah Lemos and our expert guides leading the way, you’ll step back in time to a world of shadows and whispers, where the echoes of the past still linger and the spirits of the accused cry out for justice. Don’t miss your chance to explore the haunted heart of Scotland on our Witches & Phantoms of Scotland Tour.

DAY 1: 🧭 Sept. 4th, 2025

Shadows Beneath the Stones — Arrival in Edinburgh

Welcome to Scotland, where truth and legend blur in the mist. Our gathering begins mid-afternoon at the stately Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club, an elegant 18th-century baronial mansion nestled in the rolling countryside just outside Edinburgh. Rich in aristocratic heritage and haunted whispers of the past, this majestic estate offers a serene, almost sacred, space to ground ourselves for the journey ahead.
In the early evening, we convene for an official welcome and orientation. From there, our anticipation builds as we depart for our mysteriously undisclosed welcome dinner—hosted in one of Edinburgh’s most haunted pubs/restaurants. The identity of this spectral venue will remain secret until the moment of our arrival, leaving the veil between this world and the next deliciously thin.
As twilight deepens, we follow in the footsteps of the condemned, exploring the city’s darkened closes, haunted alleyways, and subterranean vaults—once havens for plague victims, criminals, and hidden covens of witches. Beneath the cobbled streets, the lingering sorrow of persecution and the defiance of ancient feminine wisdom await us. With psychic medium Sarah Lemos by our side, the voices of the forgotten may once again rise.
We return late to Dalmahoy, our Scottish manor of rest, where ancestral echoes lull us to sleep before the pilgrimage deepens tomorrow.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability or weather & travel conditions.

DAY 2: 🧭 Sept. 5th, 2025

The Burned and the Buried — From Culross to the Coast

Today, we trace the legacy of Scotland’s accused witches across sacred landscapes and sorrowful shores. We begin in the village of Culross, where time has stood still since the 17th century. Within the ochre walls of Culross Palace, once the residence of wealthy merchant families, echoes of fear and accusation remain.
Just beyond, along the wind-brushed shore, lies the unmarked grave of Lilia Adie, one of Scotland’s most documented victims of the witch trials. Denied a Christian burial, her body was once buried beneath a heavy slab to prevent her “resurrection”—a heartbreaking testament to an era of hysteria.
Next, we continue to Leven, home to the Scottish Witch Trial Museum, where you will meet its curator, Leonard Lowe, a man dedicated to preserving the legacy of these accused victims. We will see for ourselves that documented torment and execution of countless women and men are preserved with dignity and truth. Through artifacts, trial records, and immersive displays, the human toll of this dark period unfolds before us.
We then venture into the mystical woods of Dunino Den, an ancient Celtic ceremonial site where Druids performed unthinkable rituals. Marked by carved steps, offerings, and pagan symbols, this hidden glen pulses with a power that transcends time—an ideal place for quiet connection and reflection, especially with Sarah Lemos’ guiding intuition. As twilight approaches, we arrive in St Andrews, where we visit the ruins of the once-mighty St Andrews Cathedral, followed by a walking tour through Scotland’s most haunted coastal town, where shadows linger and stories breathe through stone.
We rest tonight in a stately manor house in Aberdeen, where ancestral spirits may still keep watch.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 3: 🧭 Sept. 6th, 2025

Whispers of Stone and Sea — Dunnottar and Aberdeen’s Dark Past

This morning, we set our course for the legendary Dunnottar Castle, a fortress steeped in tragedy and resistance. Standing high upon its sea-battered cliffs, this 15th-century stronghold witnessed centuries of bloodshed, imprisonment, and persecution. Within its ruins, the haunting story of the Whig’s Vault reminds us of those who were confined in darkness—many accused of heresy or witchcraft—whose restless spirits are said to echo among the windswept battlements.
After honoring these forgotten souls, we return to Aberdeen for a hearty lunch before delving deeper into its haunted history. Graeme’s “Witches & Phantoms” Tour leads us through the city’s oldest quarters, where Heading Hill, Castle Gate, and the Tolbooth Museum bring to life the harrowing tales of those tried, tortured, and executed for witchcraft. These places still hum with the energy of past injustices and spectral sightings.
Our journey continues at Provost Skene’s House, a 16th-century townhouse with centuries of untold stories, followed by the atmospheric fishing quarter of Footdee (Fittie). Here, whispers of superstition and the trials of accused witches blend with the salty breeze of the North Sea.
After some free time to explore Aberdeen, we retreat to our stately manor house, carrying with us the shadows of history and the voices of those who once walked these haunted streets.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 4: 🧭 Sept. 7th, 2025

Into the Highland Veil — Spirits of Loch and Legend

Today, we cross into the mystical heart of the Scottish Highlands, where ancient landscapes hold secrets older than memory. Our day begins at the grounds of Abergeldie Castle, a private 16th-century stronghold long rumored to be haunted by the ghost of “French Kate,” a woman accused of witchcraft and burned near the estate. Though we honor her only from afar, her tragic fate is a solemn prelude to what lies ahead.
As we journey deeper into the Highlands, the veil between past and present grows thinner. We arrive at the legendary Loch Ness, where centuries of lore swirl beneath its dark waters. With the towering hills surrounding us, we embark on a soul-stirring encounter at Urquhart Castle, whose ruins stand as both guardian and witness to invasions, executions, and the enduring legend of the Loch Ness Monster. The castle’s stones whisper tales of sieges, disappearances, and lingering phantoms along the shore.
As night falls, we walk the shadowed streets of Inverness, guided by ghost stories that reveal a city shaped by rebellion, murder, and supernatural sightings. From tragic apparitions to chilling echoes in hidden courtyards, this evening’s Haunted Experience connects us directly to the unseen.
We rest tonight in Inverness, the heart of the Highlands—where history lives, and the spirits have never left.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 5: 🧭 Sept. 8th, 2025

Blood in the Glen — Ritual and Remembrance in Glencoe

This morning, we travel south, deeper into the ancient folds of the Highlands, where towering mountains and mist-draped moors cradle the sorrowful beauty of Glencoe. Known as the "Glen of Weeping," this valley bears the psychic scars of the 1692 massacre of Clan MacDonald, where betrayal met brutality under the guise of hospitality. It is one of the most emotionally charged sites in Scotland—haunted not just by spirits, but by a collective ancestral grief that lingers in every stone and shadow.
Today, we gather with psychic medium Sarah Lemos at one of Glencoe’s most sacred and spectral locations: The Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail). Tucked between the peaks of the Three Sisters, this hidden valley was once a refuge for outlaws and clan fugitives. With its isolation, haunting silence, and tragic past, it offers the perfect energy for a metaphysical ritual.
Here, surrounded by nature’s cathedral of towering cliffs, we will form a sacred circle to honor the persecuted—especially the women accused of witchcraft and those silenced by violence. Guided by Sarah, we will open ourselves to ancestral connection, spiritual grounding, and healing through intention.
As twilight descends, we return to our lodging in Glencoe, resting in the quiet power of this hallowed place, forever changed by what we’ve felt—and who may have joined us.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 6: 🧭 Sept. 9th, 2025

Between the Veil — The Forgotten and the Fortified

Our journey continues southward through Scotland’s spiritual spine, where natural beauty meets the solemn echoes of forgotten souls. We begin our day at the ruins of Finlarig Castle, near Loch Tay—a site steeped in ghostly lore and historical brutality. This 17th-century fortress, now overtaken by moss and silence, hides a beheading pit believed to have been used for noble executions, and possibly even accused witches. The very stones seem to pulse with sorrow and secrecy. With Sarah Lemos present, we take a moment to acknowledge those lost to cruelty and superstition, giving voice to the silenced and reverence to their memory.
We continue to the nearby village of Killin, where we enjoy lunch overlooking the Falls of Dochart. These sacred waters have long been associated with healing and passage—flowing past the ancient burial grounds of Clan MacNab. Here, nature and history blur into something deeply spiritual.
In the afternoon, we ascend to the formidable Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest strongholds. A seat of royal intrigue, betrayal, and resistance, its haunted chambers echo with stories—from spectral soldiers to the mysterious Green Lady said to roam its halls. The castle’s energy is both regal and restless.
We dine and explore Stirling’s charming old town before returning to Edinburgh—the city that began it all—for one final chapter in our supernatural quest.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 7: 🧭 Sept. 10th, 2025

The Circle is Closed — Honoring the Lost with Our Spiritual Guide

As our sacred journey draws near its end, we return to Edinburgh, the city where history, legend, and spirit converge. Today holds special meaning—it is the final day that psychic medium Sarah Lemos will walk beside us, and with her, we honor the voices long silenced.
We begin at the towering Edinburgh Castle, where beneath the regal crown of Scotland’s military power lie chambers once used to imprison the accused. Here, Sarah leads us in connecting with the spiritual residue of fear, injustice, and resilience that has soaked into the castle's stone over centuries.
Next, we descend into the shadows of Greyfriars Cemetery, a resting ground not just for the dead, but for the unrested. From persecuting judges to tortured innocents, this is a place where the veil has grown paper-thin. It is here we pause, listen, and feel—a moment for ancestral witness.
As dusk falls, we gather for our celebration dinner along the Royal Mile, raising a glass to each other, to those we have honored, and to Sarah, whose gifts have illuminated every step of this path.
Our final tribute of the day takes place at the Witches' Well, where we form a solemn closing circle with Sarah, offering remembrance, healing, and gratitude. Though she departs tomorrow, the spiritual threads she has helped weave will remain with us.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 8: 🧭 Sept. 11th, 2025

Echoes Beneath the Surface — Uncovering the Layers of Edinburgh

Though we now travel without the guidance of psychic medium Sarah Lemos, her presence lingers with us as we continue to explore Edinburgh’s haunted soul—one step closer to understanding the depth of its suffering, mystery, and power.
We begin the day atop Calton Hill, where grand neoclassical monuments stretch toward the sky, echoing Edinburgh’s Enlightenment pride. But it is just below, at the Old Calton Burial Ground, where our hearts return to remembrance. This graveyard is home to the remains of both revolutionaries and accused witches, its soil steeped in grief, defiance, and unspoken prayers. Among the weathered tombs lies a striking mortsafe—a rusted iron cage placed over the dead to thwart bodysnatchers. The very ground reminds us of the fear and paranoia that once ruled these streets.
We next visit the Museum of Edinburgh, where artifacts, relics, and court records bring the witch trials and the lives of Edinburgh’s citizens vividly to life. This curated space allows us to connect intellectually and emotionally with the very stories we’ve been walking through.
Later, we descend into the chilling corridors of the Real Mary King’s Close, an underground time capsule beneath the Royal Mile. Preserved rooms and alleyways, once buried and forgotten, carry tales of plague, murder, and hauntings still reported to this day.
We close our final full day with free time to explore Edinburgh, now armed with a deeper understanding, sharper perception, and a reverence for the spirits who still whisper through its ancient stones.
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.

DAY 9: 🧭 Sept. 12th, 2025

Goodbye, Scotland!

Today, we bid farewell to Scotland and all its beauty, history, and phantoms. We’ve made new friends and incredible memories. Take heart in an old Scottish proverb as you we part, “Lang may yer lum reek!” (“Long may your chimney smoke” Meaning: May you live a long life of prosperity!)
PLEASE NOTE: Itineraries are subject to slight change depending on availability, weather & travel conditions.
